Camp 103 was located in ANTRIM township and existed between 1945
and 1952. It was made of log construction with a capacity of 150
men.
It was built in 1945 by 105 POWs and about 45 civilians. The POWs left for
home via England spring of 1946. Pulpwood on sleighs was hauled out of the cutting area by
horses and then pulled to Sheahan behind trucks on ice roads. Here the wood was unloaded
over the banks of the Spanish River by a crane. This method proved impractical and new
dumpsites were found for following years.
