Camp 109
Camp 109 was built in1946, of log construction, in
Stralak Twp. The camp was built on the shores of the Spanish at Mileage 17-1/2 to serve as
a dump site and river-driving camp. The new main ice road followed Path Creek, then cut
over the railroad at Mile 17-1/2 and the pulp was dumped directly on the ice of the
Spanish River. I assume the camp was used also for the river drive until 1967. Co-ordinates:N
