Camp 508
Camp 508 in Blamey Twp was built in 1947, log
construction. The wood was hauled to Sultan on ice roads and was loaded to CPR at Camp
506. Around 1952 an all season haul road was built that allowed the wood to be trucked to
Camp 500 at Ramsey for loading there. The camp was closed in 1955, then opened briefly in
1956 to house over 100 delegates to a major equipment show. Co-ordinates N
