Camp 501, 509 and
510
Camp 501 in Edith Twp was built in 1945 and housed about
100 POW's and some civilians. The POW's left for England in April 1946. The pulpwood on
sleighs was pulled to Ramsey by trucks on ice roads.

Camp 509 was in Edith Twp and was built in 1947 with
mixed log and frame construction. The pulpwood was moved to Ramsey, initially on ice road
and then on all season roads as they developed. The camp was closed in 1958. Co-ordinates:

Camp 510 was in Edith Twp, a tent camp put up in the
early 50's to harvest peeled poplar in the spring. The camp was closed in 1958. Co-ordinates:
