Ul stared into his bowl of wheat cereal contemplatively. The small triangles of wheat floated gently across the milk. The wheat triangles were arranged in such a way that they looked like a rather happy little dog, Ul noticed with surprise. If he squinted a bit, and adjusted the angle of his head, he could make the cereal look almost exactly like a small dog floating around in some milk. And then, the dog got out of the milk, shook itself off, and began to lick Ul's hand.
And that was just the beginning. Soon Ul found that the dog spirit, with all its abilities to physically manifest itself as a dog, was present in virtually everything: from saran wrap to cork to clouds to stirrups to lozenges and back again, without breaking a sweat. All one had to do in order to call the dog spirit forth was really concentrate on bringing the dog out of the object simply using the power of one's mind.
Sitting in his Pleasant Room, with the cereal dog at his side, Ul began to practice his new ability. He stared hard at the small statue of his grandmother, and forcussed on really bring out its dog spirit - concentrating hard on the dog aspects of the statue, shutting out the less dog-esque entirely. In just a few short minutes, Ul could truly see the statue's dog spirit in the location where the statue had been. He was not sure whether or not he could trust his senses, but when the newly created dog barked, Ul knew things were right.
With the cereal dog and the statue dog trailing along behind him, Ul wandered outdoors and into the city. He walked into a video arcade, where a young boy sat in front of a large arcade game and turned the wheel for all he was worth. Ul decided the video game was actually a dog, and soon enough, it was. The boy ran out of the arcade crying. Ul turned him into a dog. Ul turned all the other video games into dogs, and all the other players. And the phone. He walked outside and turned all the cars and buildings into dogs, and all the people he saw. And the roads. Everything really. Then he began to turn each specific dog part into an entire new dog, and so on, until the universe was full. Then he went home.
