May 22nd, 2637 BC. Babylon founded.
November 21st, 539 BC. End of Neo-Babylonian Empire.
October 10th, 1987 AD. Icecube designates the concept of creative nonsense as Babble.

POST HISTORY

March 10th. YIP invented by Milky Puppy and The Finn.
March 11th. Golden Rodent joins.
March 13th, Golden Rodent leaves YIP to form SFA (Spunky Fraternization Authorities).
March 20th. YIP and SFA merge to become YIP/SFA.
March 25th. First YIP/SFA bbs goes up - The Babylonian Waterslide. Sysop: Golden Rodent
March 29th. Second YIP/SFA bbs goes up - Metro Holografix. Sysop: The Finn.
April 9th. Third YIP/SFA bbs goes up - Babble BBS. Sysop: Milky Puppy
April 15th. Babylonian Waterslide becomes SpaceBar BBS.
April 20th. Member recruiting begins. First non-sysop members: Caramon Majere, Nitro, Insanity, Treebeard.
April 30th. First YIP package - AARDVARK - circulated.
May 20th. The Pinnacle Club joins, becoming fourth YIP/SFA member. Sysop: Master Spelunker
May 28th. SFA dropped. YIP/SFA becomes simply YIP.
June 1st. Pan Transit joins as the fifth YIP bbs. Sysop: Smarasderagd.
June 20th. CyberSquid joins as the sixth YIP bbs. Sysop: Ron Sharp.
July 1st. Insane Underground joins as seventh YIP bbs. Sysop: Boss Man.
July 3rd. Second YIP package - ZYGOTE/ORGASM - circulated.
July 20th. YIPnet begins between SpaceBar and Metro HoloGraphix.
August 20th. Babble West created as eighth YIP bbs and first YIP bbs out of the 416 area code. Sysop: Icecube.
August 25th. First YIP voting begins on Metro HoloGrafix.
August 30th. Phoenix BBS joins YIP becoming the ninth YIP bbs. Sysop: Phoenix
September 20th. Hypothetical Creation created as the tenth YIP bbs and second bbs out of the 416 area code. Sysop: Tear Jacob.
September 28th. The Junction Triangle becomes 11th YIP bbs. Sysop: Vindicator
September 30th. SpaceBar becomes second voting centre.
October 1st. Veil of Deception created as the 12th YIP bbs. Also joins YIPnet and becomes third polling station. Sysop: Caramon Majere.
November 15th. QEW and Erlenstar Mountain voted in simultaneously as 13th and 14th YIP bbses. Erlenstar is the first YIP Pyroto. QEW Sysop: Ollie - Erlenstar Servant: Wayfarer
November 20th. Quintessential Mountain becomes 15th YIP bbs and second YIP Pyroto. Days later, Quint crashes. Servant: Maud'dib
November 23rd. The Lunatic Fringe joins as 16th YIP bbs. Also joins YIPnet, later becomes fourth voting station.
November 30th. QEW becomes Warez World. Warez World voted to be not a YIP bbs.
December 10th. Phoenix BBS becomes Alcatraz.
December 12th. Veil of Deception becomes The Drifting Continent, and Caramon Majere becomes Creeping Face.
December 16th. Saliva Mountain joins as Pyroto-wing of Metro Holo.
December 20th. Linoleum Mountain added as Pyroto-wing of SpaceBar.
December 30th. Suicidal Slope becomes Pyroto-wing of Drifting Continent.
January 5th. Insane Underground becomes Empire City. Empire City is not a YIP bbs.
January 20th. Stellar System created as 17th YIP bbs.
Sometime soon. Third YIP Package - MOO - to be circulated.
