Assisi

On our way home to Milan from Perugia we stopped first in Assisi to see the sights. Assisi had a big earthquake in 1997, and the basilica was damaged. It has since been repaired.

Assisi is in sight! And what a sight, especially with that bright blue sky.

This is the way up to the basilica.

Judging from the look on Stefano's face this is a self portrait.

There is a Franciscan Cross on the lawn in front of the Basilica.
