Who's Who on Pyroto

Frekki: Frekki is 46, married and works with MR clients. He's just started writing a column for his local paper, probably because the editor got tired of all the letters to the editor he writes.

Kendaer: Kendaer is a 32-year-old computer geek with a love for gaming, trivia, books, and word games. He's been on the net since 1987, and a member of many different online communities from alt.callahans on USENET to some of the internet BBS's to various websites. He's pagan, poly, kinky, and an all-around strange guy.

MarkII: MarkII is a 38-year-old male from northeast Indiana who works as a machine operator at a door factory. He has three children, two sons and a daughter. His main interests, aside from the kids, include most sports, gardening, books and it looks like Pyroto.

NCDA6: NCDA6 is 58 years old; he has diabetes and also had five heart bypasses. He works in a steel mill, at Steelton, Pennsylvania, making railroad rails. He has worked at the mills for 36 years. He was a member of Mensa. He has one great son who just had a baby so NCDA6 is now a grandfather.

Nkohnuhkholdor jr.: Nkohnuhkholdor jr. earned the title "Pyroto's Dudicular Extravaganza" when he returned to the mountain after the banishment of his predecessor nkohnuhkholdor. Nkoh jr.'s secret ambition is to banish Soulrift (please don't tell anyone). In his spare time, nkoh jr. likes to threaten people and misspell "hypocrite". The flesh of nkoh jr. is reported to taste like chicken.

Porhop: porhop is a radio journalist and researcher and musician from Virginia who recently joined the game in order to find a writing outlet. He's obsessed with communication but something usually gets messed up with the translation. Harmless.

Amado: Amado is the wizard incarnation of a guy named "Amado" in the Flatlands. In real life, as in the Land, he's a musician, philosopher, and computer technician. He's given to deep pseudo-philosophical discussions, emotional outbursts and confessions, and references to female anatomy. He's particularly interested in TSOTL and the concept of "tsotl"- a topic he's founded an Ether channel on, called "Nature of TSOTL." If you play the game with fairness and insight, Amado wants to be your friend!

Discotoe: Strong. Good. Pie. discotoe.

Falc: Falc is the wizard of a real life QA analyst who plays Pyroto while waiting for the latest version of a program to break. Not terribly politically active, she will step in when she feels it necessary. Her hobbies are owning the cutest cat on Pyroto, and teasing the hell out of Ninj by posting smilies all over the place. :)

Galeana: Galeana is a 38 year old former broadcaster, currently attempting present-life reincarnation as an artist/designer. She is married with three children and hails from Western Australia. Injected with a gramophone needle at birth, she enjoys Pyroto as one of the few places her chatterbox nature earns more esteem than curses!

Sir Edmund: Sir Edmund, as his honoured namesake, is an inhabitant of the emerald antipodean isles, and a veteran mountaineer, first playing Pyroto on the BBS. He is also cybernetic, cryptic, penta-decaic and pun-addictive. And he likes to make up his own words.

Scumbone: Scumbone, a.k.a. Frieda McGillicuddy, is the illegitimate love child of a gullible Hamiltonian and a left-handed Sagittarian. These days Scumbone happily spends her days pushing papers around a desk at a small car dealership. She wiles away her evenings indulging in her favourite past-times of origami, husband-stealing and collecting artichokes. We on Pyroto Mountain would be wise to keep our eye on this fast-rising Canadian star.

Bricker Prime: Bricker has founded a mountain, led what was the Land's largest clan, and was one of the first two wizards ever Banished by player action from web Pyroto. The Paz Clafian Diaspora brought Bricker to Pyroto, where he's been happily involved in helping the gentle meritocracy that is the trademark of the Land's central mountain evolve and prosper. Bricker wishes the Mentors would reveal who Suggested certain of the Ha! questions, so they could be torn to bits by wild boars.

DigitalMan: DM is a longtime Pyroto wizard, having been on the original back in 1986. He's climbed this mountain without mass promotions in very good time with his climbing partner E. He cannot stand cheaters and will do everything to go against them.

E: E is a wizard who is dedicated to protecting Pyroto Mountain's wizards and ideals. He would rather talk than act, but will not hesitate to act when it is necessary. He entered the land originally around day 1500, so he knows the game and how it works.

FFTobago: FFTobago is perhaps best known for her affection for cats and sushi, and her dislike of obnoxious HTML signatures. FF's "Who here?" tagline took the Land by storm many months ago, and occasionally someone actually answers her silly questions. FF also enjoys long walks on the beach, Coca-Cola, and naps.

Hedwig: Hedwig wants everyone to enjoy their experience of Pyroto, and aims to encourage a good posting style in others. He enjoys being one of the few European wizards on the mountain and frequently reminds everyone of the fact. He's a peaceful wizard who believes carrot is better than stick, but he will make his opinions known and stick by them. He likes meeting people and wants to work with sick animals and/or children.

JadeMage: JadeMage is a member of Clan Phoenix, and has been known to hang around the Eighties Ether. She thinks Pyroto is about establishing a sense of community and playing by the "rules", as well as earning your way up the mountain instead of being promoted from Grey to Magenta.

Jart: Jart stands upon the mountain like a mighty Colossus. Well, a semi-mighty Colossus. Gaze at him in awe, or simply out of idle curiosity. He needs the attention desperately.

Jemalas: Jemalas is a fun-loving guy who slips through life on whim, allying with those he likes, insulting whom he dares, and drinking with the rest.

Critias: Who knows?

Kwani: Although not too politically active, Kwani is extremely loyal and compassionate to her friends and mountain, and will do whatever she has to protect it. She believes in weighing both sides of an argument before making any rash judgements and believes that the punishment should always fit the crime.

Ninjalicious: Ninj's greatest passions are being silly, arguing about mountain politics and game philosophies, making sure wizards earn their levels, and, of course, banishing wizards and being an evil tyrant. Ninj is the leader of the greatly respected and greatly feared Team Ninj.

Persephone: Persephone is a computer programmer who has spent the majority of the past three years working in Milan, Italy. She tends to write messages about the differences between Italy and Canada, as well as a lot of food-related topics, a habit that was probably picked up by hanging out with a bunch of Italians for whom food is VERY important. Look for her ether Yummy Stuff.

Wart: Wart The Inflammatory is the Gothic vegetarian troublemaker of Pyroto. He is a complex character, full of contradictions, too difficult for the average Joe to understand. He loves his beer and is an 'alright kinda guy'. He is not married, has no kids and does not live in London.
